Scrub Tok is an application owned and operated by Oak Health Body Aesthetics ("Oak", "we", "us", or "our"). Scrub Tok is designed exclusively for verified medical professionals to generate, edit, and manage social media content for their clinical practice and professional brand.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you access or use Scrub Tok. By using Scrub Tok, you agree to the practices described in this policy. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Social media posts, captions, scripts, and other content you generate, upload, or edit within Scrub Tok
Images, videos, and audio files you upload as source material
Prompts and inputs you provide to AI-assisted features
Templates, drafts, and scheduled posts
Connected social media account identifiers (where you authorise integration with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or LinkedIn)

Technical and device data

IP address
Device type, operating system, and browser
App version
Log data, crash reports, and diagnostic information
Approximate location (derived from IP address)

Subscription tier and history
Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

4. Information you should NOT upload

Scrub Tok is a content creation tool, not a clinical record system. You must not upload, enter, or generate content that contains identifiable patient information, clinical records, or sensitive health information about any third partyunless you have obtained that person's express written consent.

You are responsible for ensuring that any image, video, or information featuring a patient or third party complies with your professional obligations, including AHPRA's advertising guidelines, the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, and applicable privacy laws.

5. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

Create and manage your account
Verify your status as a medical professional
Provide, operate, and improve Scrub Tok's features
Generate AI-assisted content based on your inputs
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Provide customer support and respond to enquiries
Send service-related communications (e.g. updates, security notices)
Send marketing communications, where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time)
Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or breaches of our Terms of Service
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

6. AI-assisted features

Scrub Tok uses artificial intelligence to help you generate captions, scripts, hashtags, and other content. When you use these features:

Your prompts and inputs may be processed by third-party AI service providers under contract with Oak
We do not use your content to train publicly available AI models
Our AI providers are bound by confidentiality and data-handling obligations consistent with this policy
AI-generated outputs are suggestions only; you are responsible for reviewing all content before publication

7. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose personal information to:

Service providers who help us operate Scrub Tok, including cloud hosting (e.g. AWS, Supabase), AI providers, analytics services, payment processors, and customer support tools
Social media platforms that you choose to connect to your account, in accordance with the permissions you grant
Professional regulators where required to verify your credentials
Law enforcement or government agencies, where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Oak, our users, or others
Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Oak's business assets

Some of our service providers may be located outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with the APPs.

8. Data storage and security

We store personal information on secure servers and apply technical and organisational measures to protect it from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, regular backups, and monitoring.

No system is perfectly secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security and you provide information at your own risk.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see section 11).
